YEG Powerline HZY series Gel batteries are ideal for use with photovoltaic solar cells. Typical applications for HZY Solar Gel batteries are:
- Solar (PV) cell powered Road traffic signs
- Solar (PV) cell powered Hybrid power supplies
- Solar (PV) cell powered Water pumps
- Solar (PV) cell powered Parking meters
- Solar (PV) cell off grid auxiliary power systems
For SOLAR applications the HZY GEL battery is without doubt the right choice, the price premium is easily off-set by the life and cycle expectations for this demanding application subjected to high and low temperatures, unpredictable charging, daily cycling, and probable partial state of charge discharges.
Advantages of HZY Gel Batteries:

- Good tolerance to higher temperature applications

The HZY-SL from YEG Powerline are available for 6 and 12V systems. Part number HZY-SL12-230 has a capacity of up to 474 Watt Hour per Cell.
